As a life and business coach, I help people create orgasmically joyful lives and businesses, so that they can feel totally energized about who they are and what they do.
I know firsthand the twists and turns of finding the right career and starting a business. Throughout my professional life I have successfully transitioned through many careers and industries, working my way up from a retail promotional assistant to VP of Marketing! In the course of that journey, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles such as Management, Leadership Development, HR, Business Development and Operations, as well as in industries ranging from cosmetics, to travel, to technology.
I enjoyed each of those roles fully… for a certain period of time. But after a while, I would inevitably start feeling like I was running on empty. I was totally unfulfilled. I knew something had to change.
Then life really happened. In just one year I got divorced, became a single mother and had a work situation that required me to change jobs ASAP.
What was I to do? I was raised by European parents who had always guided me to take the “safe route”. Their point of view was that there is more job security in larger financial corporations, as they come with all kinds of great benefits. I appreciate my parents for wanting what they believed was best for me, but I felt I didn’t fit into this type of work environment or mindset. Settling for something I was unhappy with was not the example I wanted to set for my son.
I wanted to encourage my son to follow his passions in his life and career, and not perpetuate a cycle of playing it safe and sidelining dreams. It was time for me to take a stand. It was not enough to want that life for my son. I had to show him it was possible by living it myself.
The first step I took was to work for a small startup where I had no idea when the next paycheck would come in, or if it even would come in. It was a big risk – especially for a parent. But that opportunity allowed me to see all aspects of running your own business, which was instrumental in bringing me to where I am today… running my own successful business as a life and business coach, which is really my TRUE passion!
We spend so much of our lives at work. It’s vital that we use that time to do something that makes us feel excited to get started each day, leaves us feeling blissful at the end of it, and is aligned with our values and life purpose.
I have had a successful career in the business world, receiving numerous awards for high achievement in marketing and sales, but I was always left aching to make a bigger difference. Not being satisfied with just “creating successful products, marketing campaigns and surpassing sales objectives”, I wanted to be of greater service to others – to help people realize that they are the CEO of their life, and that they really can design their future any way they want.
I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and have a Bachelor’s of Commerce (BComm). I am also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post and Entrepreneur.
I have an exceptional ability to connect, to communicate and to bring out the best in people at all levels, and I feel blessed to have received so much positive feedback on the coaching that I do. I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to be appreciated and acknowledged for living my passion!
On my own journey, I have moved beyond simply having a positive attitude to having a more fulfilling, heart- based life. I am a coach, a speaker, and a trained energy practitioner. I use a variety of techniques and tools, depending on what will be most beneficial to each client, in creating the life and career they truly desire (and deserve!). I am also passionate about hiking, biking, being in nature, yoga, meditation, discovering new cultures and pretty much any activity that can be done outdoors in warm weather.
As a way to re-energize myself, I do several downward dog yoga poses throughout the day – no matter where I am! Whenever I feel the need, I stop what I’m doing and go for it. I’ve been caught doing this in a Tim Horton’s washroom and even in the middle of a park wearing a dress and heels! I truly feel it improves circulation and helps me to relax. When I get up from my pose, I feel energized and am able to see things from a fresh perspective. It’s just another part of my orgasmically joyful lifestyle 🙂
I have taken, and continue to take, the steps required to create a life and business that I feel so excited to wake up to every morning! My mission is to help as many people as possible find the same joy and fulfillment in their own lives.
What will it take for you to start creating an energized life and business for yourself?
