5 Steps To Make What Seems Impossible…Possible
Are there things you would really like in your life, but you keep telling yourself it’s just not possible? That it’s too complicated or far-fetched?
You’re not alone. I have limited myself in this way many times in the past.
Yet, over the years, I have come to realize that there are steps we can take to make what we see as impossible… possible.
The most recent impossibility for me, the thing that seemed so out of reach, was to become a regular blogger contributing to credible publications. And guess what? I made it happen. I just landed a role as a regular contributor to the Huffington Post!
What at first seemed impossible, I made possible with 5 steps that I’d like to share with you. Perhaps you can try these steps to make what you feel is impossible in your life, possible.
Step 1 – Ask yourself the right questions
Start from the beginning by asking yourself some powerful questions such as: What do I truly want? What is important to me? What is my mission? What can I do and when will I do it?
My mission is to help as many people as I can become the CEOs of their lives and to create the lives, careers and businesses that they truly love and are excited to wake up to. I asked myself, what can I do to make this happen? What have others done to make similar goals happen? After some brainstorming, I realized one of the ways was to get published in credible media so that my message could have a broader reach.
Step 2 – Create a vision of what you want
Visualize what you want as if it’s actually in your life NOW. What does your success look like? Feel like? Smell like? Feel it, believe it and assume the energy of what you want to experience.
Visualization is powerful. It helps you to move through life with intention. When you continuously visualize what you want, every cell in your body is involved in that image and you start to resonate with everything in harmony with that end goal.
I started visualizing the website I would have, from its fuchsia background down to the different media sources I would link to where I would be sharing my mission.
Step 3 – Put it out there and be open to the signs you receive
Tell people what you want to do. Research how others have achieved similar goals. Ask the Universe or whatever higher power you believe in, “How do I make this possible?” Pretty soon, you’ll start noticing signs pointing you in the direction of your vision.
I was doing my visualizing and putting my dreams out there for a few weeks when one day, just by chance, the answer came to me. In the most unexpected way!
I am part of a women’s entrepreneur network. We meet for lunch every two weeks and there is always a guest speaker that shares her business expertise. This time, when I walked into the room, splashed across the presentation screen was a fuschia website with all the media icons, just as I had been visualizing my own!
I froze.
I started getting goose bumps all over. If this wasn’t a clear sign, I don’t know what was. The presenter that day was a media coach who taught people how to get media attention. To top it all off, her own website was fushia too!
Step 4 – Take action
When you see the opportunities, no matter how scared you are, JUMP. Take a big leap and go for it! Those opportunities are showing themselves to you to help you create what you truly want!
When I was at the presentation that day, I had no intention of signing up with a media coach. However, after hearing her presentation and seeing how it aligned with my vision and my mission, I decided to take a leap and move forward with her.
The program I enrolled in had plenty of homework that I did not initially plan for. Yet, I did the course, and I prepared everything that was needed to submit to the Huffington Post.
Step 5 – Be relentless
Things might not happen exactly the way you want, or when you want. As Robin Sharma says, “It’s not the most talented who wins. It’s the most relentless who does.” You need to be relentless.
I submitted what was needed through the Huffington Post website. I sent it to the blog team and to one of the journalists.
I didn’t hear anything back. After two weeks, I decided to resubmit everything again. I remembered my coach telling me that 70% receive a reply on the follow up. Not only did I resubmit through the website, the blog team, and the initial journalist… I also sent it to Arianna Huffington herself!
Guess what? Within two days I received a response saying they would post my blog and they welcomed me as a regular contributor to the Huffington Post!

These 5 steps above are what I did to make what seemed impossible not just possible, but reality. I hope they will also help you create the life, career or business you truly want.
Here is to you being the CEO of your life!
