You have unique gifts

Do You Know What Your Unique Gifts Are?

April 4, 2014/in Being True To Yourself, Blog, Career, Career Coaching, Life Coaching/by Melissa Dawn

Do you know what you are truly meant to do in your life?

What gifts and talents do you have that sets you apart from most? Do you know who you are truly meant to be?

I must admit it took me quite a few years, various careers and hitting rock bottom before I figured out my calling was: to be a Coach.

I realized it in my very first coach training…in my very first class exercise…when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing… I helped a woman clear an issue that she carried with her for 40 years…in 10 minutes. I couldn’t believe it. It was at that very moment I realized this is what I was meant to do. This was my unique gift. I felt it in my heart, body and soul.

To create a truly orgasmically joyful life and career, you need to be fully using your unique gifts.

Do you remember the moment when you realized what you were meant to do in your life?

There are a lot of my clients that I am talking to lately that haven’t yet had this moment. If you don’t feel you have this figured out yet, you are completely normal. Most people don’t know what they are meant to do and won’t even admit that they don’t know.

Most people live their life on auto-pilot just doing what they have always done because that’s what works and that’s what pays the bills.

But YOU are different. Just the fact that you are reading this blog post shows you want more from your life. You want more than a job that pays the bills… you would like to find a career where you could use your unique gifts and feel truly energized by doing so.

So what is it about you that makes you truly unique? What gifts and talents do you have that sets you apart from most?

If you are unsure of what they are, here are some questions to help you access them…

What brings me joy?

What is present when life is most alive for me?

What comes easily to me?

What makes me, me?

What work can I do for hours at a time and continuously feel energized by it…not even feel like I am working?

What special skills am I gifted with that provide enormous benefits to me and a potential company?

Who would I like to become with these unique gifts?

It might take you a few days or weeks or even months to figure this out. It’s OK. Just start by asking yourself the questions….

Once you have a better idea of what your unique gifts are… Challenge yourself. Spend a bit more time every day using your unique gifts. You can start by increasing the time spent by 10% every day until it builds up to 70% or more of your day. If your unique gift is connecting with others, make a conscious effort to increase the amount of time you spend connecting with others. If your unique gift is being creative, think of ways you can use your creativity more.

Imagine being able to wake up every morning using your unique gifts to their fullest potential… wouldn’t that be totally orgasmic??? This will not only fuel you, but will inspire others around you to do the same as well!!!

Imagine a world where everyone felt this way…

Let’s work towards making this happen.

It starts one person at a time.

Start with you.

NOW.
