Career Move and Family

Sometimes We Just Have To Be Brave Enough To Jump!

May 4, 2014/in Business Coaching, Career Coaching, Life Coaching/by Melissa Dawn

Sometimes We Just Have To Be Brave Enough To Jump!

Sometimes you just have to admit that what you’re doing is no longer working for you.

I know, it’s hard. After all, you are comfortable with your life and chances are people around you are comfortable with your life too.

Yet you hear this voice inside of you, and it keeps on telling you that you are not completely happy. It tells you there is more to life than what you are living. It’s telling you to make a move in order to live a more fulfilling life.

But wait a minute…

Then you hear another voice telling you: “Are you crazy, you can’t do that, who are you to think that that is even possible?”

That is FEAR speaking. Fear’s job is to try to keep you safe.

Fear’s job is to keep you trapped in your comfort zone.

You are torn. What do you do? Do you listen to your inner guidance telling you to make a change, or do you let your fear take over?

Well, ask yourself:  Do I want to live a more fulfilling life, or do I want to remain in the status quo?

Of course, you are going to say you prefer a more fulfilling life.

So now what?

Partner with your inner voice, listen to what it is telling you. It is there to guide you. Make peace and connect with it. Start trusting it. This is essential in your path to freedom.

And as for your fear, don’t let it control you. Talk to it. Show it that you have control over your thoughts and your life. Tell it, “I hear you, but you are not getting your way, I am on top of this one!!”

Then, take the first step. It could be a simple step like updating your CV, preparing an online dating profile, signing up for a class, hiring a coach… Whatever direction you would like to move toward, start by taking one step.

It’s like Lao Tzu said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

As soon as you take that first step, you’ll start to see a SHIFT in your energy and the possible outcomes that will line-up for you.

So now it’s time to make a choice… are you going to shit or get off the proverbial pot?

Give yourself permission to move forward, to take that first step.

Be brave enough to take the leap and to move toward a more fulfilling life…
